For more than 35 years, Tim Stacy has been a part of the forensic DNA community. As part of his role at InVita (home to STACS and Track-Kit products), he works closely with the DNA laboratory community to ensure that InVita's product line meets the needs of the client and further improves laboratory processes using the most modern technologies. From his early days as a DNA analyst through his current position, Tim’s background and expertise encompasses the early 2000’s, when grants were first issued, to the present day.

Guest panelist Debbie Smith, a sexual assault survivor, the founder of H-E-A-R-T (Hope Exists after Rape Trauma), and a longtime advocate for the elimination of DNA testing backlogs. The Debbie Smith Act, originally signed into law in 2004, was inspired by her work and has proven to be effective in assisting investigations into both violent and nonviolent crimes.
